Hot stamping foils are consumables for coding machines that print by thermal transfer or heat marking. With them, the line records the manufacturing date, expiry date, lot, production line and logo on packages and products. TECMAES supplies foils compatible with most coding equipment, including the thermodatators it manufactures, with a heavy-metal-free formulation in accordance with EN71, suitable for the food and pharmaceutical industries. The foils are supplied in widths from 15 to 80 mm, in 122 m rolls.

The right grade depends on the packaging material. TECMAES tests the foil on the packaging sent by the customer and recommends the grade and printing parameters.

Tips for flawless printing
- Install the foil with the shiny side facing the type and the matte side in contact with the package. With the foil reversed, nothing is printed.
- When changing the type of packaging, test the foil before starting production.
- Follow the temperature, press time and motor time indicated in the packaging's technical data sheet.
- Clean the type daily with a brass brush, always with the print head cold, and clean the printing rubber with a cloth dampened with alcohol.
- Blurred printing usually indicates dirty or damaged printing rubber or type, or a temperature higher than needed.
