What keeps the seal stable
Tubular cartridge heater
Longer service life, better heat distribution and a uniform, reliable seal.
Teflon-coated sealing bar
No Teflon tape to replace on the sealing bar, which lowers operating cost and keeps the process more stable.
Split sealing bar
Keeps the temperature constant along the seal and makes it easier to replace the heater and the temperature sensor.
Servo-driven film pull
More precision and stability, simpler adjustments and packages of consistent length.
Servo-driven horizontal sealing
Lower compressed air consumption, fewer failures caused by water and dirt in the air line and less corrective maintenance.
Seals only when product is present
The machine only closes the package when there is product, which avoids wasting film.
Double 4 mm seal
Two 4 mm seals, 4 mm apart, on each sealing bar.
Stainless steel and safety
Shot-blasted AISI 304 stainless steel frame, clear polycarbonate enclosure and NR-12.
How the VPS500 works
The machine forms the package from the plastic film roll, receives the product, seals and cuts, in a continuous cycle.
1. Infeed funnel
Receives the product and directs it into the forming tube. Shape and dimensions are defined for each product to avoid losses and jams.
2. Unwinder
Holds and feeds the film roll with the right alignment and tension.
3. Forming tube
Turns the flat film into a tube and gives the package its shape. The tube diameter is the package perimeter divided by π.
4. Film pull unit
Mitsubishi Electric servomotors and belts pull the film evenly and in sync, to the exact length of the package.
5. Vertical sealing
Joins the edges of the film and gives the package strength and a tight seal along its full length.
6. Horizontal sealing
Closes the bottom and top of each package and cuts between packages, driven by a servomotor.
7. HMI panel
Mitsubishi Electric 7" color touchscreen with PLC: speed, package length, temperature, timing, count and alarms, with up to 55 programs.
8. Signal tower
Light and sound signals show when the machine is running, stopped, in fault or needs attention.

Quick change on the sealing bar
The split sealing bar makes it easier to replace the heater and the temperature sensor and cuts maintenance time.

Vertical sealing assembly, upper and lower stops, Teflon-coated serrated blade, timing belts, cartridge heaters, PT100 sensors, ball screw and silicone profiles.
Diagnostics on the panel
